Description

The objective of the project is to increase attention given to women at risk of exclusion, who needs guidance and support in attaining independence and self reliance to ensure their social progress. The project is expected to increase the opportunities for employment through information, qualification and training services. Personalised guidance in labour matters will be offered to the beneficiaries with the aim to prepare them for adequate jobs. Our nonprofit Foundation operates as a human resource centre for people at risk of exclusion and will provide all the tools necessary to facilitate their inclusion. The model will be delivered to different responsible companies which would like to know more about the diversity and the responsible use of human resources. The project will benefit single mothers and /or women who have been affected by gender violence, women living in Andalusia, Valencia and Canarias provinces.

Summary of project results

80% of women heading a single-parent family, claims to feel employment discrimination in their access to employment and opportunities for development and promotion. The goal of Adecco Foundation Spain is to help unemployed people under risk of social and labour exclusion, ensuring the possibility of providing continuity to the project and keep attending to the beneficiaries. The main goal has been to improve equal opportunities; Adecco Foundation Spain aimed for 12 beneficiaries would reach a job, and finally the outcome was 46. Our beneficiaries acquired through the project the needed skills and tools to face the job market. They now possess the necessary tools to navigate safely and comfortable in their job search, including implementing specific techniques, looking for more effectiveness in finding employment. At a company and other stakeholders’ level, the project raised awareness regarding existing obstacles and best practices to overcome them.
