Description

The project is needed because most jobs in rural areas are targeted at men. The rural areas have a high rate of older people and the home help is scarce. The project creates self-employment or social economy enterprises in the field of home help in rural areas with high numbers of older people and dependency. The project will map the business potential of rural women in the field of home help. Through new technologies, we will create a space for the exchange of good practices in the home help in which women can share experiences with rural women with entrepreneurial attitude and in which elderly people can explain their needs. The project addresses these challenges with a study about the needs of older rural people and employment status and training needs of women. Training and advise will be provided for entrepreneurial women. The beneficiaries will be older people who want to cover their basic needs and women with entrepreneurial attitude who wish to work in the relevant field.
