Description

In Spain the female unemployment rate is 26.57% (in 2014). The highest percentage of long-term unemployed women can be found in the age range between 35 and 49: 50.45%. The percentage of registered work contracts for female employees aged between 30 and 44 is the lowest among the employed population. The objective of the project is the promotion of equality between women and men in working life by fostering female entrepreneurship and self-employment. The achievement of the project will be to get an employment rate of 25%. This challenge will be addressed through the development of three projects, which include an innovative program of socio-labour insertion of unemployed people through teamwork, cooperation and mutual assistance, using the methodology of coaching. The expected beneficiaries are unemployed women aged between 30 and 45 years old who want to improve their unemployment situation through the development of entrepreneurial projects or who want to strengthen a business activity of new or recent origin.

Summary of project results

This programme aims to select and accommodate entrepreneurship initiatives for women in the participating areas, providing them with skills, abilities and changing their attitudes towards employment and entrepreneurship. General Objective: Promote the employability of self-employed participants, develop entrepreneurship initiatives as part of a collaborative partnership model . Level of achievement: In relation to the indicators, 95% of them have been achieved, therefore the general objective has been achieved to a great extent. The results have been achieved just as planned. However, in some cases the results were much better than expected especially ones obtained in the area of entrepreneurship. The following objectives were achieved: · Innovate active employment policies · Avoid social exclusion, isolation and loneliness that limits professional development and hinders employment · Discover potential and personal qualities · Generate new economic activity · Reduce the rate of female unemployment · Create direct jobs · Generate new business opportunities by expanding the network of contacts · Return part of the profit generated by the project to society · Disseminate the methodology applied in the Career Boosters · Disseminate The direct recipients of the project are unemployed women between the ages of 30 to 45. The group is made up of women who want to consolidate their own new business or women who want to improve their employment situation by developing entrepreneurial projects. The total number of women who have participated in this project is as follows: · Career Booster Villanueva de la Serena: 22 participants · Career Booster Catarroja: 22 participants · Career Booster Valladolid: 22 participants · Total participants: 66 participants
