Description

The project consists of training and awareness raising to train unemployed women in technical, social and professional skills to improve their entrepreneurship and employment capacities. There will be 3 training modules organized aimed at fostering female entrepreneurship which are going to be based on the methodology SEFED. a) 200 training hours will be delivered (the process of starting up a business, marketing and administration management and ITC). Theoretical learning will be combined with the hands-on work in the practice firm to develop their basic, professional and social skills. b) 80 hours for mentoring with female entrepreneurs as this experience will provide participants with an individual follow up and assessment process for their business plan and will allow them to have real contact with real people and working scenarios. c) Training activities will be organized for 15 participants and in 3 training organizations in Lleida, Ponferrada and Madrid.

Summary of project results

The project has consisted of a course to train unemployed women in technical, professional and social skills to improve their entrepreneur skills and their employability skills. In total there have been three courses organized with 15 students each and which have been based on the methodology for practice entreprises SEFED in Lleida, Ponferrada and Madrid. These three courses included a 200 training hours in which several training contents were delivered (process to start your own business, marketing, administration knowledge and ITC). At the same time or at the end of the training period, there were 80 mentoring hours with a business woman, training that has provided students with a personalized follow up of their business plan and have allowed students to have a real contact with real employers. Results have been extremely good, 37% placement rate, 30 Business Plans completed and 4 new companies registered in the Tax Office.
