Description

The annual growth rates for electronic document exchange have been averaging 7% to 17% in last five years. Since less than 10% of the total 350 billion invoices exchanged annually in the world are electronic today. Electronic and automated invoice processes can result in savings of 60-80% compared to traditional paper-based processing. For this, more effective IT solutions for managing companies' sales and purchasing processes are necessary in order to improve reduce the amount of manual labor, decrease errors and gain competitive advantage. This project is aiming towards the development of an E-Procurement service, which is a Smartphone and internet based service offering a complete solution for managing all companies’ bills - sales, purchasing and services bills and is targeted to small and medium sized businesses. Small grant scheme project concentrates on market research, competition study, customer needs study, environmental impact analysis, platform concept and business strategy and partner search activities.

Summary of project results

The project was needed to develop of an E-Procurement service, which is a Smartphone and internet based service offering a complete solution for managing all companies’ bills - sales, purchasing and services bills and is targeted to small and medium sized businesses. The results are sustained through tight cooperation and future business activities abroad. The objective of this small grant scheme project was to conduct a market research, competition study, customer needs study, environmental impact analysis, platform concept and business strategy and partner search activities. As all planned activities were conducted, the objective can be considered reached. The project directly contributes to the programme output as the project promoter has developed and assessed its business idea and has presented the results in the final report. Project promoter involved donor partner for future developments, partners also participated in the open (main) call competition.
