Description

Medical information systems for pharmacies would be an useful tool for both pharmacies and customers for better access to medical drugs and reduce the negative environmental effects of the drug deliveries. The objective of the project is to develop an online sales platform e-Pharmacy. Platform includes online-ordering and personal packaging of drugs; reminders about drug intake; integration with digital drug prescription; automatic analysis of co-effect of drugs; drug usage statistics and history; expert councilling; deliveries and integration with existing information systems. The end users are both pharmacies and customers as the access to drugs is improved, also in areas which don’t have a pharmacy nearby. Project is financed under small grant scheme and is for conducting market and competition research and environmental assesment analysis, also for partner search activities.

Summary of project results

Project was needed to develop an online sales platform e-Pharmacy. The project results are sustained through better access to medical drugs and reduce the negative environmental effects of the drug deliveries. The main objective of the project was to conduct market and competition research, environmental assessment analysis and partner search activities to gain the maximum information needed for further developments of the e-pharmacy platform. Project final report reflects that all planned activities have been carried out, hence the objective is considered reached. Project promoter has presented the thoroughly assessed business concept as an output, furthermore, project promoter participated in open call competition to take further steps in future developments.
