Description

More effective management and traffic solutions are necessary in order to save the natural resources and time. The project idea is to develop systematic traffic solution using traditional technological as well as innovative product and service design methods. The solution developed has to be universal and commercial in other similar ports. Due to that it is essential to involve key industrial partners for the current product development pilot project. This project, supported under the small grant scheme, will aim to further elaborate the project idea with the aim of preparing the project application for the main open call under the GII programme. The aim of the project is to analyse the logistics of Tallinn Old City Harbor: to carry out feasibility study, business, technology and environment analysis.

Summary of project results

The project was needed to develop a traffic solution for ports, using traditional technological and innovative product and service design methods. The solution will be universal and commercial to be easily implemented in other similar ports. The objective of this small grant scheme project was to analyse the logistics of Tallinn Old City Harbor: to carry out feasibility study, business, technology and environment analysis, also to search for international partners. Project promoter has presented the results in the final report; hence the objective is considered as reached. The outcome of the project is fulfilled as the business idea has been thoroughly analysed and project promoter has taken steps towards future developments of the planned solution. The results are sustained through future production and business activities, as project promoter participated in the programme open (main) call together with the donor partner.
