Description

More flexible, convenient, efficient and clear trading processes is necessary to create additional value to its clients including possible project partners and to connect Estonia’s manufacture and export with Scandinavian (particularly Norwegian) consumer needs. The project idea is to create innovative supply chain software which would simplify and integrate different supply chain processes. The information system can be used by buyers, sellers, customs agents and logistics companies. It makes possible to see and trace the movement of goods and use the data for analytical processes as well as for future planning. This project, supported under the small grant scheme, will aim to further elaborate the project idea with the aim of preparing the project application for the main open call under the GII programme. The aim of the small grant scheme is to order planned services and their compliance check, to search for potential project partners and to build team for open call.

Summary of project results

Project was needed to develop efficiency in current trading processes and therefore connect Estonia’s manufacture and export with Scandinavian (particularly Norwegian) consumer needs. The objective of the project was to prepare the development process in its further course of innovative supply chain software which would simplify and integrate different supply chain processes. The information system can be used by buyers, sellers, customs agents and logistics companies and makes possible to see and trace the movement of goods and use the data for analytical processes as well as for future planning. All preparatory activities in the project have been carried out and delivered, including the reasearch on supply chain and data flows; business plan and ICT software modelling plan. Deviations occurred in the partner search results, which activities were carried out, but resulted with no project partners regarding future activity plan. Nevertheless, the outcome could be considered fulfilled as the green business idea has been assessed and project promoter plans to elaborate the project idea in its future business processes.
