Description

The overall objective of the project is to provide quality and effective community care for people with mental illness in the area of Prague 11 and the surroundings. The project aims to strengthening material and technical base of community services for people with mental illness by purchasing equipment of Center of Daily Activities (CDA), i. e. main club room, passageway, training kitchen and outside space (atrium). Following activity consists of creating a platform for the development of care in a natural environment with special attention to the needs of patients with a dual diagnosis. There will be set up a working group at the level of City of Prague. It will focus on the activities of multidisciplinary teams working in the natural environment of clients. Practical experience in the organization of work, reflection of changes in the reform, coordination of services and education will be shared through workshops or courses. Special attention will be paid to care for clients with dual diagnosis. The main target group is mentally ill people. The partner will provide expert guarantee for the field of mental health care and consultant activities.

Summary of project results

The development of community care requires that service providers for people with mental illness be able to provide their services at a professional level. This includes not only the necessary professional education, personality assumptions, the ability of multidisciplinary cooperation, but also the appropriate material and technical background to provide services efficiently and flexibly. The project's objective were: - Strengthening material and technical base of community services for people with mental illness, - Purchasing equipment of The Center of Daily Activities (CDA), i.e. main club room, passageway, training kitchen and outside space (atrium), - Creating a platform for the development of care in a natural environment with special attention to the needs of patients with a dual diagnosis, - Personnel stabilization of the multidisciplinary community team and the necessary renovation of the premises for the related services to the clients. The project's objective has been entirely achieved. There were achieved planed results: - Purchasing equipment of The Center of Daily Activities, - Strengthening the Information and Communication Technologies Infrastructure, - Buying a car for ensuring the mobility of workers, - Creation of the platform in Prague to share experiences and to develop care in a natural environment with special attention to the needs of patients with dual diagnosis, - Renovation of premises for the social service "Employment Support", - Renovation of the apartment of the social service "Sheltered housing for men". ESET – HELP,z.s. has been providing its social services for 22 years. This history confirms its strong position in the service network. We assume that we will be able to gain the financial resources at least at the same level as we have so far. That means, we will be able to provide maintenance and insurance of items, including a car, that has been purchased during the project. As for the operation of a car, conditions for safe use has been taken. The non-material outputs of the project can be used without additional financial costs. The quality and efficiency of the community care for people with mental illness in the area of Prague 11 and the surroundings has been increased.
