Description

The project will enable to extend facilities for sheltered work; build a separate room for individual and group work; therapy and meetings, etc. The goal of the project is the reconstruction of the first floor of the Blue House building in Revnice to build new space for the sheltered work, social rehabilitation and therapy for people with mental diseases. Thanks to the project, the space of the sheltered cafeteria will be extended, new kitchen, therapy room and cloakroom for the employees with mental deceases will be built. Project activities will lead to establishment of social rehabilitation through employment training for another 8 clients, to establishment of 4 protected working positions, where can be employed to 8 new employees on part-time and to creation of 8 working positions for short-term trainees from the target group. The main target group of the project are mentally ill people (schizophrenics, psychotic patients).

Summary of project results

The goal of the project was to reconstruct the first floor of the Blue House building in Revnice to build new space for the sheltered work, social rehabilitation and therapy for people with mental illness. Thanks to the project, the space of the sheltered cafeteria was extended and a new kitchen, therapy room and locker room for the employees with mental illness were built. Within the project, tenders were conducted for construction works, the supply of equipment and services in accordance with the procurement rules. Thanks to the reconstruction of the first floor, a new coffee room was created with a roofed terrace, along with the kitchen, therapeutic room, sanitary facilities and locker rooms for employees from the target group. By glazing of the terrace, the capacity of the cafeteria was expended by 20 places and possibility of its use in the spring and autumn months. The cafeteria was equipped with furniture, lighting, bar and refrigerator, kitchen equipment (technology for confectionery processing) and locker rooms equipment. Eight lectures on mental health took place for pupils and teachers of elementary schools and for the parent center and the public. The beneficiary also organized 10 training courses for employees from the target group in following positions: barista, cook and confectioner. Project activities contributed to the expansion of community ambulatory services for psychiatric patients in Prague-West. The project also supported the general public, who could get the necessary information in the lecture cycle on mental health and social welfare. Last but not least, the public indirectly contributed to the successful integration of the target group in the community by using the services of an extended cafeteria.
