The goal of the project was to fight a stigma of mentally ill people among health and social care providers and to increase readiness of the providers for transformation of psychiatric care. The goal has been fulfilled. Personnel of psychiatric hospital Kosmonosy was educated. Multidisciplinary team was set and consisted of social workers, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologist and peer specialist. Both activities led to significant change of view on our patients/clients. Especially for medical personnel the opportunity to meet their patients at their homes has been something new because until they knew them only from the hospital. Also the closer cooperation between social service and psychiatric hospital led to better communication between both organizations.
