Description

The aim of the project is to evaluate the situation of immigrants in the labour market in Norway and the Czech Republic considering also the factors of education. European migration policies are getting stricter because Europe is attracting more and more migrants, even more than the United States (especially in proportion to the total population). The crisis stroke European labour markets very hard. The demand for labor during the economic downturn generally declines, and this can lead to policies that propose restrictions on new immigration into the country. Political restrictions on inflows of skilled workers, or even an absolute reduction in the current numbers, can be very dangerous for the economy. Even in periods of economic downturn, highly qualified workers may to help companies in implementing new methods or techniques for overcoming the crisis period and get a better starting position in comparison with potential competitors when the crisis is over.
