Description

Research stay of Jan Skalík at Lillehammer University College is primarily focused on the preparation of publication of analysis related to the development of environmental politics and parliamentary debates in Czech Republic after 1989. Main academic approach to reach this goal will be comparative method focusing on differences and similarities in Visegrad countries compared to established democracy in Norway. Jan Skalík will use unique sources at LUC Library and will cooperate with Dr. Einar Strumse, Ph.D. Academic on text of 25 pages and SCOPUS journal article. Second goal of the stay is to elaborate outline of future joint degree program in environmental politology and psychology between Faculties of Sociel Studies at Masaryk University and Lillehammer University College. Joint degree program based on long-term cooperation of both departments would increase cooperation in education and student and staff mobility between Norway and Czech Republic.

Summary of project results

Project of academic mobility was focused on two major and numerous supportive activities. The two main activities were related to the preparations of joint degree program between involved institutions (HiL and DES) and in cooperation on research in environmental politology. During the stay, an outline of future joint degree program in environmental politology and psychology between FSS MU and HiL was elaborated. Joint degree program based on long-term cooperation of both departments will in case of its implementation increase cooperation in education and student and staff mobility between Norway and Czech Republic. As specific topic of cooperation, development of environmental politics was disscused. A differences and similarities in were compared to established democracy in Norway. Author used unique sources of LUC Library and cooperated with research team consisting of Dr. Leif Rydstedt, Ph.D., Dr. Svein Age Johnsen, Dr. Inge Brechan and Hans Jorgen Wallin Weihe.
