Description

During the planned mobility the applicant would like to acquire knowledge and specific know-how from experiences and good practices abroad as well as practical skills that are relevant to my current job and my professional development. Applicant have been invited to observe some lectures taken by the students at the campus, also visiting some students teaching in the school. Host insitution has large-scale experiences with the Trends in Interantional Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) like an international comparative study of the mathematics and science achievement for the elementary school pupils. Therefore the applicnat try to discuss it for elimating future czech students failures in these tests. Applicant also would like compare Norwegian and Czech school systems because Norwegian pupils are on the close levels in TIMSS. To acquire as much knowledge and information as possible and she also would like to see their schoolbooks, textbooks and other related materials.

Summary of project results

According to planned description the didactics seminar: Prospective mathematics teachers student in Norway (attached) took its place. Simultaneously there was prepared the paper called The Teacher Education and Development Study in Mathematics based on job-shadowing at University of Oslo. The paper was presented during scientific International conference "Primary mathematics education in context" on 22. - 24.4.2016 in Olomouc (attached). The sub-goals which were obtained: possibility of future cooperation with University of Oslo, comparation of Norwegian and Czech educational system in each levels (primary, secondary, tertiary), school lesson observing, discussion about TIMSS, TIMSS Advanced and PISA results in Norway and Czech Republic, observing pure mathematics and didactics lessons for prospective mathematics teachers at university compus observing.
