Description

The main idea of the mobility project is to to provide advanced platform for share extensive experience and knowledge of the involved parties in the development of simulation models for effective solution of some physical problems. In particular, the aim is to discuss and present advanced methods of programming, simulation, statistics and optimization for given applied physics problems. The project will take advantage of the combination of deep knowledge and practical competence of the Czech and Norwegian partners in the areas of applied computer science and physics. The result of the cooperation will be a significant enhancement of existing long-lasting collaboration among the partner organizations, with intensive transfer of knowledge and a high integration of know-how. The significant aim of the project is also effort to preparing preliminary concept for together international project.

Summary of project results

The main objective of the project was to provide advanced platform for sharing extensive experience and knowledge in the development of simulation models for effective solution of selected physical problems. In particular, the aim was to discuss and present advanced methods of programming, simulation, statistics and optimization for given applied physics problems. The collaboration was realized between BUT and NTNU by particular measurable deliverables and outputs of the project which were held at BUT and NTNU. This led to tangible achievements in preparation of unified theoretical methodology with the perspective of the development of subsequent tools. Besides that the result of the cooperation was a significant enhancement of existing long-lasting collaboration among the partner organizations, with intensive transfer of knowledge and a high integration of know-how. The significant aim of the project was also an effort of preparing common international project.

Summary of bilateral results

The project is based on already long-term professional cooperation in various areas and multiple levels between research teams from Brno University of Technology (BUT) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and their effort to enhance the quality of this cooperation. Main idea of the future collaboration is focused on the distribution area of advance programming include simulation (Institute of Automation and Computer Science and Institute of Mathematics, BUT) and their use for physics (Institute of Physics, NTNU) and potential further use of project outcomes f. e. in common international project. The main objective of the project was to provide advanced platform for sharing extensive experience and knowledge in the development of simulation models for effective solution of selected physical problems. In particular, the aim was to discuss and present advanced methods of programming, simulation, statistics, optimization and control design for given applied physics problems. Due to staff mobility and project realization achievements in preparation of unified theoretical methodology with the perspective of the development of subsequent tools were reached. Besides that the result of the cooperation was a significant enhancement of existing long-lasting collaboration between BUT and NTNU, with intensive transfer of knowledge and a high integration of know-how. The significant aim of the project was also an effort of preparing common international project in Horizon 2020.
