Description

The aim of the project is to strengthen the institutional cooperation between both partners in the field of educational activities within their important education and research area - regional development and public administration. Mutual cooperation in educational and research activities, more intensive internalization of the curriculum and knowledge transfer will help to increase the competiveness graduates from both partners and will contribute to reduction of socio-economic disparities within the regions of EEA states. Exchange of information and research outputs in the area of regional development and public administration will be a source of inspiration for economic development of the regions in Norway and the Czech Republic. Therefore within the project will be realized four activities – placement of 10 Czech student and 5 education sector staff for one week at the Volda University, common workshop focused on knowledge and experience transfer and development of common modules.

Summary of project results

The main aim of the project was to strengthen the institutional cooperation between both partners in the field of educational activities within their importatn education and research area - regional development and public administration, exchange of information and research outputs, internationalization of the curriculum and knowledge transfer. Last but not least aim was to establish a long-term cooperation with our partner Volda University College. Our project Know-How Transfer fulfilled all this aims. Both partners got a new view for the topics of their activities. During the Workshop activity were compared the systems the institutions are working with not only within the teaching. There was an exchange of experience in the field of research and teaching methods. Topics of conversation were the differences between teaching in Czech and Norway, problematics of internalization of teaching and the need of publishing of teachers. The schedule involved interaction with faculty and students at Volda University College, in addition to meetings with relevant municipal officers in Volda. Our students interacted with VUC students from the same study programme in Public Planning and Administration, together they went to the village of Saebo to learn more about rural development and government in Norway. On the programme was a meeting with Mayor of Volda and Volda Culture Park. We greatly appreciate the partnership we have created with Volda University College. We daresay, that our partnership can be described as friendly and long-lasting.

Summary of bilateral results

Gaining experiences abroad is one of the biggest opportunity for students and education sector staff. The location of the beneficiary is in one of the economically weakest regions in Czech Republic. Establishment of a long-term partnership.Daily communication between partners. Searching for new projects. The objective was to strehghten the institutional cooperation between both partners and to establish a long-term cooperation. All af the objectives were reached. 1. Mobility of students and education sector staff Main benefit was establishment on new long-term partnership with the Norway partner. A chance given to czech students meet with norway culture, system of education, administration. Increasing of mutual cooperation in educational and research activities.
