Description

The project is focused on exchange of educational sector staff members of two higher education institutions - Gjovik University College (Norway) and University of Pardubice (Czech Republic) - during the time period from July 2015 till June 2016. The main aim of the project is to reduce socio-economic disparities in Europe, to develop bilateral cooperation between above mentioned institutions and to strengthen the human capital (employees) and know-how for the mutual benefit of both institutions. The project will enable both the institutions to organize various types of mobility for their employees. In the project implementation phase we plan to exchange 28 employees (education sector staff - both academic and administrative staff) in total, (i) 8 employees from each side, each employee for 10 days and (ii) 6 employees from each side, each employee for 7 days.

Summary of project results

The project was focused on exchange of educational sector staff members of two higher education institutions - NTNU, campus Gjovik (former Gjovik University College, Norway) and University of Pardubice (Czech Republic) - during the time period from July 2015 till June 2016. The main aim of the project was to reduce socio-economic disparities in Europe, to develop bilateral cooperation between above mentioned institutions and to strengthen the human capital (employees) and know-how for the mutual benefit of both institutions. The project has enabled both the institutions to organize various types of mobility for their employees. In the project implementation phase we planed to exchange 28 employees (education sector staff - both academic and administrative staff) in total, (i) 8 employees from each side, each employee for 10 days and (ii) 6 employees from each side, each employee for 7 days. The actual situation did not allowed us to realize all the planned mobilities. We sent 9 people from the University of Pardubice to NTNU Gjovik and we welcomed 7 people from NTNU Gjovik at the University of Pardubice. The reason why we reduced the number of mobilities was the trasition proces by the norwegian partner. On the 1st of January 2016 the Gjovik University College merged with other 3 norwegian universities and become NTNU - campus Gjovik. In the project preparation phase nobody from the Gjovik University College was able to predict the exact date of merger and the intricacy. The reality was new and demanding for the whole institution.

Summary of bilateral results

The project was necessary for starting, strenthening and development of cooperation, sharing of skills and experiences. New cooperation started in the field of process engineering and civil engineering (6 people from the University of Pardubice and 2 people from NTNU in Gjovik, 1 scientific publication). We developed cooperation in the field of colour and printing techonogy (2 people from the University of Pardubice and 2 people from NTNU in Gjovik, 1 scientific workshop) and central administration and management (we exchanged the administrative staff). The objective was to establish and develop a successful partnership on the bilateral level between NTNU in Gjovik, Norway, and the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic. We established and developed a successful partnership which has potential for the future. We established and developed partnership, strenghten personal contacts in the following fields: informatics and electrical engeneering, process engineering, colours and printing technology, transport technology, university management and administration.
