Description

The project MIDPOINT/Norway - Script Development Programme addresses the current need of the Film and TV School (FAMU) from the Czech Republic and Den norske filmskolen (DNF) from Norway to institutionalise and thus strengthen their previous work together by preparing joint workshops beneficial to students of both schools who are the main target groups of the project. The students will take part in two common workshops on script development, attend masterclasses and make presentations of their work. The aim of the project is to give the students of both film schools a European perspective on their work, to share their experiences and to support future networking within the film industry. The result of the project will be more training and networking possibilities for Norwegian students through the MIDPOINT platform and agreement on bilateral cooperation. The project also allows students as young professionals to consolidate their skills on the international market.

Summary of project results

The objective of the project MIDPOINT/Norway - Script Development Programme was to institutionalise and strengthen cooperation between the Film and TV School (FAMU) from the Czech Republic and Den norske filmskolen (DNF) from Norway. As a main output the new bilateral partnership agreement was concluded between both schools. Pedagogues and other academic staff prepared joint workshops for students as a main target groups of the project. Students of both schools participated in workshops, which took place in Lillehammer and Prague. They gained new perspective on their work, networking possibilities and new approach due to the cooperation with Norwegian and Czech tutors. Within the project new opportunities were created for future cooperation of students from both schools beyond the end of all project activities.

Summary of bilateral results

New bilateral partnership agreement was concluded, both deans discussed mutual possibilities for further cooperation. The project - supported the mobility of students and staff - enabled students and pedagogues to familiarize themselves with the different social, educational and professional backgrounds in the subject field -enabled the students to have new networking opportunities -facilitated NO and CZ students and pedagogues with the opportunity to join new activities
