Description

The applicant will participate in Physical Education, Science and Language lessons at an instituion in Iceland. During these lessons, he will present to students and staff of the host institution the methods, forms, procedures and teaching styles applied in the Czech education system. He will establish international cooperation between the institutions mainly within projects in the areas of sports, languages and natural sciences in order to increase public awareness and promote mutual understanding between these two countries.Simultaneously with teaching he will observe the methods, styles, forms and procedures of teaching in P.E. lessons in order to collect information for writing his rigorous thesis concerning the description of physical education in the Nordic countries and to carry out a survey.The applicant will also perform job-shadowing where he will follow a professional in his work for training and research purposes which will improve his teaching skills and competences.

Summary of project results

After arrival he met his contact person in Grundarfjordur. The day after intorduced himself and spent one day with his coordinator. At the beginning the applicant was more as an observer where he saw teachers teaching and their methods and styles. Then he started with presentations of himself, the programme he came to Iceland within and the Czech Republic. Then he started to teach several subjects Sports, English, Danish, Chemistry and Health and healthy lifestyle. In his lessons Lukas devoted last five minutes to teaching the Czech language and culture. During the project the applicant established several international projects between Czech, Icelandic and Danish schools.
