Description

The project is part of a bigger project of the company for doubling its production capacity of electrical water storage heaters. The energy efficiency measures in the company will assure better working conditions and reduction of the percentage of the defective products and elements. From one side this will be cost effective for Tesy’s products and from another – it will lead to more efficient use of materials and resources which is an overall aim of the company. The installation of centralized energy monitoring system will ensure effective use of energy resources in the whole production which will additionally lead to saving resources even with the existing equipment.

Summary of project results

The main objective of this project was to develop a "greener" company answering better the EU regulations and requirements and improving the environmental performance and at the same time increasing our competitiveness. Through the project Tesy Ltd. was able to realize a business opportunity of greening the EU economy. As a result of the project, now the company promotes less energy consuming technologies, decreased production costs of the products because of less use of energy and decreased number of defective products. The project also resulted in promoting better working conditions for the employees. The outputs of the project are as follows: 1. Insulation of the production premises; 2. Changed of the lighting with LED; 3. Installation of effective air conditioning system for the production premises (new ventilation and heating system installed); 4. Installation of two air compressors working with innovative technology; 5. Installation of centralized energy monitoring system for measuring the real time consumption of gas and energy, giving the possibility to optimize the consumed quantities; 6. Installation of new furnace for firing enamel water storage devices.
