Description

The project aims at developing of an intelligent hot water boiler controller, a microcomputer with its own CPU, RAM memory and storage memory, including ISM wireless module that connects to the home access point. Innovative electronic module fits successfully the concept of intelligent management of modern homes. The project results will contribute to the reduction of energy consumption of appliances widely used to provide hot water for domestic needs, to energy savings up to 30% and to finally reduce the negative environmental impact through responsible use of resources and technology.

Summary of project results

The objectives of the project were design and development of Intelligent system for remote control of installations for hot water, resulting in 30% energy savings, which will reduce the energy consumption of appliances widely used to provide hot water for domestic, to achieve real energy savings up to 30% and reduce the negative environmental impact through responsible use of resources and technology. The project was a very successful joint venture between Silver Line EOOD and the Norwegian partner ND Design AS. The developed product was successfully deployed and integrated into multiple national and international markets thus resulting in long-term successful business venture. The results of the project led to the development of high quality technological product which allows for easy integration and deployment into various technical environments. Specifically, the following goals and objectives were accomplished: - Developed innovative product – a prototype of a controller with remote control of facilities for hot water, which meets the requirements of the Community Directives on eco-design of energy-using products that result in increase of energy efficiency and their environmental performance, as well as meet the requirements for safety of electrical equipment use; - Developed innovative software for managing prototypes and including applications for mobile versions; - Developed and tested smart management facilities for hot water that uses an innovative controller with the possibility of customized access and remote control of facilities for hot water; - Implemented successful partnership practices and pilot testing. The actual achievement was the development of a high-end technological solution that Silver Line EOOD successfully sells in the domestic and international market segments. In 2016 the company successfully sold to multiple companies the technology as well as the know-how developed under the objectives of the project.

Summary of bilateral results

The following positive results were achieved : 1. Continued and long-term cooperation with the Norwegian partner ND Design AS. 2. High-end technological achievement suitable for direct industry application. 3. Good financial sales results due to the product easy of integration and good price level. 4. Good level of knowledge and professional development for the technological staff of Silver Line EOOD. 5. Broad market segment development based on the shared relationship with the Norwegian partner. 6. Gain of in-depth knowledge of how to develop technology in cooperation with foreign parties. The development of the relationship enabled Silver Line EOOD to gain access to some international markets that were previously excluded for the company. This includes direct referrals as well as international deployment references.
