Description

The project is in the field of cultural studies. The beneficiary applicant intends to study the history of contemporary culture processes in Liechtenstein. The applicant will study and examine the materials and papers related available at the Institute of Liechtenstein, with relevance to cultural topics such as political culture and system, history, cultural heritage and so forth. The applicant will also engage in discussions with staff working in the cultural studies field

Summary of project results

The purpose of the project was to study and examine all the materials and papers available at the Institute of Lichtenstein dedicated to cultural topics - such political culture and system, history, cultural heritage etc. As a result of the project, a draft research paper, entitled: "The Historical development of the Kingdom of Lichtenstein from Medieval Times to 20th century" has been prepared. It will become part of the upcoming monography, entitled: "Cultural History of Lichtenstein", a joint research project with Dr. Daniela Decheva. Additionally, the mobility project has resulted in the digitazation of more than 5000 pages of existing research papers dedicated to the Kingdom of Liechtenstein, available at the Institute's library.

Summary of bilateral results

Through the project, contacts with renowned scientists in history and culture have been established. Contact with the Director of the Institute of Lichtenstein has been established as well, laying the basis for further and sustainable bilateral cooperation in the form of conferences, research fora, organized in both countries. A series of talks with Dr. Herbert Wille - former Vice-President and Minister of Justice of Lichtenstein, were been organized during which he gave his views on the specific features of the political system of Lichtenstein nowadays .
