Description

to efficiently support and increase the mobility of students and other academic and university staff; to increase the overall participation in different exchange programmes; better administration of the programmes for exchange; better opportunities for exchange of academic staff and students between both universities - The American University in Blagoevgrad and the University of Volda; by employing the best practices presented at the Volda University and by applying the successful experience leading to increase in the attendance of international students and boosted participation of Bulgarian students in exchange programmes abroad; students and academic staff, but also the administrative staff responsible for exchange programmes coordination; offered best practices for promotion of the internationalization in the University of Volda - successful strategies, annual and long-term plans and trends as well as methods leading to enhancing and expanding the international cooperation; transferred beneficial experience they had acquired as regards identifying suitable partners and holding information campaigns intended for incoming and outcoming international students; joint agreement for carrying out future exchange programmes agreement for an exchange programme for students enrolled in Social Sciences, Economy, Journalism and Media, Business and Political Sciences;

Summary of project results

1. the project was conceived with the aim to enhance mobility as a means to improvement of the knowledge and skills; it added value to the exchange of best practices with EEA region. Furthermore, the project enabled administration of the offered services for mobility for students, academic and other staff to upgrade and develop. 2. organized discussions with representatives from universities in other countries across Europe; organized different work visits and events; offered meetings with the relevant specialists/persons in charge for consultation; gave presentations; familiarized the participants and held demonstrations for them of the different web applications intended for management of the mobility at the University College. 3. improved quality of the performance and of the services provided as regards mobility; further personal and professional competences development; new pathways for forging partnerships as well as for setting up appropriate exchange programmes for students, lecturers and administrative staff were identified.

Summary of bilateral results

1. More open possibilities for increased exchange under Ersamus+ Programme of students from the History and Social Sciences Faculties as well as of academic staff concerned. An agreement for joint cooperation was reached for a follow-up exchange of students from the following fields of study: socail sciences, journalism, economics, business and political sciences. 2. Definitely, both the programme and the project contributed to strengthened bilaterail relations between the university entities involved.
