The purpose of the Project is to provide education and training in waste treatment technologies and financing of new technologies and to develop an information service which will stimulate technology transfer from international partners to the Mazowieckie and Slaskie Voivodships with the overall objective to provide help to private businesses and other stakeholders in Poland to develop innovative ways to finance and access new technologies of waste management. Reference is made to the application dated 10 August 2007 and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - provision of trainings on financing and new technologies related to waste management; - organise conferences and trade missions, participation in national fairs on innovative waste management and knowledge sharing; - creation of a web portal to provide information on new technologies and stimulate technology transfer; - carry out technology audits for approximately 100 companies; - project management and promotion. The Project Promoter is the Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining. The Project shall be implemented in partnership with SINTEF, Norway. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the total estimated eligible project costs.
