The purpose of the Project is the generation of real time scientific data relevant to the marine ecosystem health and climatic change, with the overall objective of extending the knowledge of environmentally relevant Mediterranean deep sea properties of value to the international scientific community. Reference is made to the application dated 21 November 2008 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Project management, including office expenses and publicity, - Labour costs, researchers and contractors, - Purchase of equipment, including public procurement, - Running cost of one boat, and - Project overhead, including insurance and telecommunications. The Project Promoter is the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research The Focal Point shall ensure that the Greek Government provides at least 50.39 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
