New programme approvals in 2013


Two new programmes in Romania and Latvia have been approved since the beginning of the year, bringing the total to 61 approved programmes under the EEA and Norway Grants 2009-2014.

Progressing with new programmes


To date, around 60 programmes have been sent to the donors for approval in the current funding period. With new funding made available under the EEA and Norway Grants 2009-2014, many open calls are scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.

Open call for Polish-Norwegian research projects


Poland has launched an open call for proposals under the joint Polish-Norwegian research programme. This is funded as part of the Norway Grants contribution to Poland for 2009-2014. Applications may be submitted until 30 November 2012.

Slovenia scholarship programme will spur two-way mobility


“Students from Slovenia cannot afford go to Norway without enough funding, but the EEA and Norway Grants makes it possible”, says Marja Medved from Slovenia. Scholarship programmes worth €32.8 million are being set up in 11 countries specifically to support the mobility of staff and students between Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and the partner countries.

Available grants for study visits


PhD students, young researchers and representatives of educational institutions in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Poland may now apply for funding for study visits.
