Capacity building and institutional cooperation
Norway support capacity building and institutional cooperation programmes in seven beneficiary countries - Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania. Each programme, while sharing the same overall objective,is tailor-made to align with national needs and wider EU and donor country priorities.
Public institutions and local and regional authorities play a crucial role in any country. Well-functioning public institutions contribute to social and economic development. Developing public sector capacity at a local level is crucial for enhancing quality and efficiency of service delivery for citizens and businesses and building sustainable localities.
Support from Norway aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and learning between partners in Norway and the beneficiary countries.
