Carbon capture and storage
Norway support carbon capture and storage programmes the Czech Republic. The programme is tailor-made to align with national needs and wider EU and donor country priorities.
The donor countries are keen to promote the use of carbon capture and storage (CCS) as one of the technologies available for reducing emissions and tackling climate change. CCS technology captures carbon dioxide from fossil fuel power stations and oil and gas production. Developing the most cost-effective technologies and solutions for safe storage requires joint international efforts
Support from the Norway Grants in this area is intended to support the EU’s climate and energy policy. .
