Opening Ceremony: SPAVO Shelter

In an inauguration ceremony, the SPAVO shelter for victims of domestic violence will be officially opened by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nicos Anastasiades.

The SPAVO House will be the first purpose-built shelter in Cyprus, increasing the country's capacity to provide support for victims of domestic violence. Equipped with treatment and education facilities operating 24/7, the shelter will provide a safe and stable environment for women and their children. It will be able to accommodate up to 24 people.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the Norwegian Ambassor to Greece and Cyprus, Jørn Eugene Gjelstad.
