Nature Concerthall 2015
Since 2006, Nature’s Concerthall has evolved to stand for a concert conducted in nature to bring people closer to the understanding of that nature, its inhabitants and how to care for it.
The idea stemmed from the need musicians playing ambiance music had to break out of the traditional concert venues and the need for scientists to bring their fascinating knowledge to the public. Through the project, the audience gets the privilege to experience a form of music which seeks to include the natural surroundings as one of its players – through lights, sounds and the public's own understanding and appreciations.
The Nature Concerthall 2015 will take places as a side event to the 6th Annual Forum of the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) under the Latvian Presidency of the EU Council.
The performance is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants' Fund for Bilateral Relations at the National Level.
