Matchmaking event - Romania: Culture Programme

The Project Management Unit within the Ministry of Culture and National Identity, acting as Programme Operator for RO-CULTURE, invites representatives of the cultural and heritage sector from Romania and the Donor States to participate at the matchmaking event with the purpose of developing partnership projects.

The event will take place in Bucharest, between 12th -13th of September 2018.

The Programme aims at strengthening social and economic development through cultural cooperation, cultural entrepreneurship and cultural heritage management.

The matchmaking event aims to contribute to the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between cultural operators from Romania and the Donor States. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and dialogue for partnership projects development in the field of culture and heritage and compete for grants within RO-CULTURE.

During the event, Romanian and Donor States participants will shortly present either ideas for project or their main areas of interest and discuss with other colleagues. The presentations and discussions will be held in the following area of interest for achievement of outcomes and outputs within RO-CULTURE:

  • Monuments restored and revitalised
  • Innovative cultural exhibitions of restored objects supported
  • Roma cultural heritage revived
  • Cultural entrepreneurship enhanced
  • Larger audience developed
  • Roma cultural initiatives developed

Those interested to participate have to fill in the Matchmaking Registration Form and send it by 6th of August 2018 (email: bilateral@ro-cultura.ro).

The Registration form will not exceed 2 pages. English will be the language spoken at the event. The selection of participants is based on entity profile compatibility. The selected participants will receive an invitation to attend the event. The rejected forms will be informed by email.

In the case of Donor States selected participants, the costs related to transportation (flights to and from), as well as accommodation (max. 2 nights) + breakfast are covered by the PO.

A contractor designated by the PO will be in charge with the arrangements. The contractor will propose a flight to participants and will buy the ticket upon their request/available flights.

The Programme Operator will organize other two matchmaking events in 2019 and 2020. The rejected entities will have the opportunity to apply for attending the next events.

The matchmaking events are addressed to entities that are in search of a project partner. If cultural operators have already identified the entity that they would like to cooperate with, it is recommended to communicate directly, meet and develop the project idea. In this case, the interested entities could access the bilateral calls for partnership actions.
