Greece: Annual Meeting 2018 & Closing event 09-14
Organised by the National Focal Point - Special Service for the EEA Grants in Greece, this event marks the closure of the 2009-2014 programme period in Greece.
Greece has received funding since the EEA Agreement came into force in 1994. For the period 2009-2014, Greece was allocated €63.4 million; up from €34.3 million over the previous five-year period. Hundreds of people have benefited from the 130 projects that have received funding from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants.
This year, the first part of the Annual Meeting will serve as a forum for assessing the completed 2009-2014 programme period, followed by a second part discussing the progress in developing the programmes under the new financial mechanism (2014-2021), during which Greece will receive €116.7 million. The sessions will gather representatives from the donor countries, Greek administration, programme and fund operators.
The meeting will be followed by a cocktail reception at the Aigli Zappeion's terrace in the presence of Deputy Minister of Economy & Development, Mr. E. Yannakidis and Secretary-General for Public Investments & the NSRF, Mr. P. Korkolis.
