Description

The project will be implemented in order to meet the environmental requirements set out in the EU Industrial Emissions Directive. The project is in line with the long-term strategy of the company PGNiG TERMIKA to reduce the its environmental impact. This includes a gradual diversification of fuels used to produce electricity and heat at the combined heat and power energy plant in Warsaw. The implementation of the project will increase the use of renewable energy in the fuel portfolio of the company. This will give the following results: reduction of CO2, SO2, NOx; reduction of furnace; increase of renewable energy generation (heat and electricity); and implementation of the National Energy Policy. Through the installment of new devices and technologies the company will reduce its emissions of greenhouse gas and other air pollutants to the atmosphere, which will benefit the environment as well as the local community living close to the power plant.
