A study visit to Norway will be organised to learn about CSR and social dialogue practices. Participants are small and medium sized enterprise employers, employees, and trade union representatives.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to promote corporate social responsibility (CSR) because of the need to change labour relations in Poland. This could be ensured by the implementation of CSR in Polish enterprises as a way to obtain both stable and secure employment and sustainable development of enterprises. In Poland, CSR is mostly used by big enterprises with foreign capital and less than a third of companies used the CSR concept. Entrepreneurs perceived few benefits with CSR because of the lack of knowledge and necessary finance. At project completion, the following outputs had been achieved: - Increased number of employers applying CSR principles in their enterprise policies (149 employers participated in the project). - Increased knowledge about the CSR concept, social dialogue and gender equality policies among employers, trade unions and members of employers' associations and inhabitants in Pomerania, Poland (421 participants in seminars and trainings; 550 participants in conferences). The project also contributed to the signature of an agreement on social dialogue by leaders of regional employers’ organizations and trade unions.
