Scholarships – applying for funding

Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway support scholarship programmes in 11 beneficiary countries. The programmes fund a portfolio of projects.

Who can apply for funding?

Project support is available to applicants in the 11 beneficiary countries. Eligible applicants are institutions in these countries. Scholarships for mobility will also be open for individuals such as students and staff, who can apply through their institution. Specific criteria are defined in the call for proposals.

How can I get involved as a partner?

With the core objective of the programme being to facilitate student and teacher mobility and exchange, cooperation in projects between educational establishments in the donor and beneficiary countries is widely encouraged, and often mandatory. Funding is available to support networking and preparatory visits to foster project partnerships.

The Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education, the Icelandic Centre for Research and the Liechtenstein National Agency for International Education Affairs are all involved as programme partners. They play a strategic role in programme planning and implementation, and can assist Norwegian entities who wish to get involved as partners.
