The National Agency for International Education Affairs (AIBA), Liechtenstein, is donor programme partner in scholarship programmes in nine countries together with the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education (SIU) and the Icelandic Centre for Research (Rannis).

About the programme area - Scholarship

Removing obstacles to educational mobility is a Europe-wide goal. Boosting transnational mobility helps students acquire new skills and strengthens future employability. Partnerships between higher education institutions are promoted under the Grants with scholarship programmes established in 11 countries. These programmes aim to strengthen education systems through international cooperation and facilitate student and staff exchanges with Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

About the programmes

As a donor programme partner, AIBA facilitates study tours to Liechtenstein, provides advice on the programmes to the national-level operators in the beneficiary countries, and help facilitate partnerships and contribute to exchange of experience, capacity building and good practices between the beneficiary countries and Liechtenstein.

Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain

The scholarship programmes support one or more activities to increase higher education students and staff mobility; increased and strengthened institutional cooperaion at all levels of the education sector; increased mobility of education sector staff at all levels of education between the beneficiary and the three donor countries.

All Liechtenstein institutions who are involved within the fields of education are possible partners (e.g. primary schools, secondary schools, gymnasiums, universities, VET schools, NGO's with educational responsibilities, private education providers).

The National Agency for International Education Affairs (AIBA) serves as national agency for Liechtenstein's European Lifelong Learning programme and World Skills. In addition AIBA is involved in other regional and international education programmes. The core areas of AIBA cover fairly all fields of education.
