47 Polish-Norwegian research projects to receive funding

47 joint research projects within the areas of environment, climate change and polar research, health, social sciences and gender equality will receive funding from the Polish-Norwegian research programme.

Out of the 269 applications received, 47 projects will be funded. See the list of selected projects here. All the projects have both Polish and Norwegian participants. In total 38 Norwegian research institutions will participate, some in more than one project.

Enhancing research cooperation
The Norway Grants research programme in Poland is expected to enhance research cooperation between Norway and Poland and strengthen the research capacity and application of research results.

"Such a great number of proposals submitted in a bilateral call stands for a growing interest in cooperation with Polish research institutions", said Professor Krzysztof Jan Kurzydłowski, Director of the National Centre for Research and Development when the call for proposals closed in the end of 2012. Research programmes in seven countries
The EEA and Norway Grants support research programmes in seven beneficiary countries - Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Poland and Romania. Read more about the research programmes here.

The programmes in Poland and Estonia have already completed the calls for proposals. Further calls will be announced later this year. Check our website for new calls for proposals or sign up to our e-mail notification of new calls.
