Poland announces 177 mln call for proposals

Poland announced an open call for proposals on 21 December 2006 making almost €177 million available for individual project applications under the financial mechanisms, established by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The applications can be submitted from 2 January 2007 and deadline for submission is 16 April 2007.

The call for proposals is earmarked to applications for individual projects and covers all priority sectors supported by both the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, including protection of the environment, promotion of sustainable development, conservation of European cultural heritage, human resource development, health and childcare, judiciary and regional policy.

The almost €177 million call for proposals is open to applications from all Polish legal entities, ranging from public and private sector bodies to non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Projects may also be implemented together with partners from the donor countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, as well as the other countries within the European Economic Area.
