Hungarian open call re-launched

Over the last few months Hungary has re-worked its application process, and a €45 million open call with simplified procedures was launched on 1 June 2007.

The new set-up involves two rounds of project selection, with concept outlines in the first round, and the selection of around 150 of these project concepts to be developed into full-fledged applications in a second part of the application process. Outline applications can be submitted until 24 September 2007.

A specific seed money facility totaling €450,000 has been integrated in the launched open call, to provide small grants to end-recipients for the preparation of project documentation in the second round. Eligible applicants for seed money are NGOs, applicants with donor state partners, and applicants from the less wealthy Hungarian regions.
