Estonia: Information and matchmaking event "Children and youth at risk"
Estonian Youth Work Centre is organizing a contact seminar for the calls of proposals for the Children and youth at risk programme on September 23 in Tallinn. The conference seeks to facilitate contact between Estonian applicants and potential programme partners.
The Children and youth at risk programme has the overall aim of preventing risks and improving the well-being of children and youth in Estonia. The amount available Estonian entities and certain intergovernmental organisations is € 6.5 million. Following activities are eligible for funding:
- The creation of legal and organisational framework and structures to support children and families;
- Empowering of professionals dealing with children at risk in multiple institutions, and;
- Provision of high quality and knowledge-based interventions to children, young people and families to support parenting skills, to prevent early school drop outs, juvenile delinquency and re-offending behaviour.

Estonian Youth Work Centre has as its general objective to improve the availability of youth work services and to increase the capability and competence of youth work related organisations, youth workers, associated specialist and volunteers.
Norwegian experts from youth work will attend the event and share their experiences and provide examples of good practices from Norway.
